Lighting Design

Great lighting will always enhance space, however, the challenge of selecting the appropriate fitting can prove to be time consuming and frustrating.

Here's how we can help:  Amos Lighting have over 26 years experience as an independent designer and distributor of lighting.  We are well placed to offer an understanding of your finished space and demonstrate the difference great lighting can make.  We have been actively involved in the design and supply of lighting to well over 100 new build home projects throughout the South West.

We offer three levels of service each tailored to your needs.

Informal Lighting Design. We can discuss your ideas in our showroom and help you select the most appropriate fittings.  Plans are not essential but do help us build a picture of your space. An appointment does not need to be made and we do not charge for this service.

Single Room Lighting Design. We can discuss your ideas and suggest the best locations for lighting fittings.  Ideally you will provide us with a plan or drawing to help with this process.  We can mark this plan to assist your electrician with his installation. An appointment should be made with one of our lighting designers. A small charge is made for this service.

Full Lighting Design Service.  If you are building a new home or undertaking a renovation you are likely to need expert advice on using light to maximum effect.  Our full design service allows us to understand your aspirations then go through in detail where to place the lighting with recommendations on the most suitable fittings. Full consideration is given to creative lighting techniques, energy efficiency and switching arrangements. We will generate a comprehensive lighting plan which can be passed onto your architect, engineer or electrical contractor.  An appointment should be made with one of our lighting designers. We will need full plans at 1:50 scale as a dwg file or PDF. A charge is made for this service, however we will refund this fee over a set purchase level. Contact our office for full details.
