Amos Lighting were delighted to be asked by Ben Huggins to assist with the design and supply of lighting to their fabulous barn conversion set amongst the rolling hills of mid Devon.
Ben, who is a renowned furniture designer and television presenter on design and building, has meticulously created a stunning contemporary interior which contrasts beautifully with the simple traditional exterior.
Ben says, “David’s response to our brief was to use very discreet lighting which provided accent to the hand crafted furniture and finishes. He did this by using flat plate recessed luminaires with a low glare baffle for visual comfort. Where he used decorative lighting, his recommendation was a case of the simpler the better. Flos Glo-ball was used in the bedrooms as they provided a warm ambient light when dimmed to a low level.”
The build of the house was chronicled regularly (warts and all) in the Daily Telegraph by Bens wife and business partner, Hannah.
