“conditions” means these terms and conditions; “delivery date” means the date specified by us when the goods are to be delivered; “goods” means the articles which you agree to buy from us as displayed for sale on this website; “contract” means the quotation, the “conditions” and any other document incorporated in a contract between us (Amos Lighting Limited) and you; “showroom” refers to our display of goods at the address below; “we/us” means Amos Lighting Limited, the owner of the website whose registered office is at 2 Bridford Road, Marsh Barton, Exeter, EX2 8QX; “you” means a user of this website.
All orders are effectively an offer by us to buy our goods which you are free to accept or reject.
Acceptance of the delivery of goods shall be taken as conclusive evidence of your acceptance of the conditions.
We reserve the right to change the conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the website following a change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such a change.
You agree to provide personal information which is true, accurate, current and complete and to notify us of any relevant changes.
You must not impersonate anyone else or use a false name or a name which you are not authorised to use.
Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Description of Goods
Each product is sold subject to its Product Description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered on the system. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information, including product descriptions, appearing on the website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order.
The price displayed on our website is our retail price. The retail price is inclusive of VAT, but excluding carriage.
As soon as you place your order you will be sent confirmation by email. A member of staff will check your order by the next working day and send you another email confirmation. Please check your second email confirmation carefully and let us know as soon as possible if any of the details are incorrect.
Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the goods ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions given under “Returns and Refunds”.
Non-acceptance of an order by us may be the result of one of the following:-
- The product ordered being unavailable from stock
- Our inability to authorise a payment
- The identification of a pricing/description error
- You not meeting the “Conditions Applicable” as set out above
You are entitled to cancel your order provided you exercise your right no longer than 8 working days after the day on which you receive the goods. Please follow the procedure under “Returns and Refunds”.
With regard to faulty goods, you should inform us of the fault within 7 days. Please refer to the “Returns and Refunds” information.
After acceptance of the goods you are not entitled to reject them if there is no breach on the side of Amos Lighting.
Under no circumstances may goods supplied against a firm order be returned without our written consent. Such goods will be refused.
Delivery charges may be applicable and can be obtained from us. Please refer to information under “Delivery” and “Returns and Refunds”.
Returns and Refunds, Damage or Loss in Transit
In the case of an online purchase any product may be returned for a full refund or exchanged for goods of equal value if returned unused and undamaged within 7 working days after you receive the goods providing they have not been fitted, assembled or modified in any way and are returned with the original packaging and providing the goods are in a resaleable condition. Please refer to our “Returns and Refunds” section.
Orders placed with us which are not an online purchase fall outside of the Distance Selling Regulations. Therefore, the goods purchased from us which have been specially ordered cannot be returned to us for credit unless they are faulty.
We would like to assure you that all goods are packed carefully to ensure safe carriage. Upon delivery, you must examine all goods and in the event of loss or damage, you should contact us within 48 hours. Likewise, if the goods are not delivered within 5 days of the advice note date, you should also notify us so that in each case we can investigate.
If the goods supplied to you are damaged on delivery, you should notify us within 48 hours of receiving the items. Shortages will be considered only if we are notified within 5 days of delivery and if accompanied by full particulars of delivery information and your receipt. Failure to comply with these requirements will exonerate us from all responsibility.
Credit will be issued to you on return of the damaged/faulty goods in the original packaging. Initially, you will be responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost. Your goods will be inspected by us on their return. Providing the goods have been returned as required you may be issued with a refund for the carriage costs incurred.
If you do not return the goods as required, Amos Lighting may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the goods. Goods should arrive back within 14 days.
If goods supplied to you develop a fault within 12 months, you should notify us as soon as possible, but in any event within 7 days of the date you discovered or ought to have discovered the fault. Initially, you will be responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost. Your goods will be inspected by us on their return. Providing the goods have been returned as required you may be issued with a refund for the carriage costs incurred.
Please note we will only refund the price of the item or exchange the product once it has been received by us and found to be faulty. We will make good by replacement or repair defects caused through proper use or which arise solely from the fault, design, materials or workmanship conditional upon such defective goods being promptly returned by you, carriage paid and upon you informing us of the defect alleged and all other relevant circumstances. Any specified or implied performance will be void if an electric lamp of higher wattage than those shown as appropriate for each fitting is used.
