This website is operated by Amos Lighting + Home. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Amos Lighting + Home. Amos Lighting + Home offers this website, including all information, tools and Services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any Services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

Any new features or tools which are added to the current store shall also be subject to the Terms of Service. You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and Services to you.

 

Making a Purchase

We use a secure server on our website and want to make shopping easy for you. If anything is not clear from our website, then please email us info@amoslighting.co.uk or phone 01392 908222.

Our products are arranged in categories which can be accessed by clicking on the Shop tab at the top of the website. By selecting a category, you will then be able to look at individual products in detail. When you have found what you want, you can add it to your basket which you can edit or empty at any point. Once you have selected the products you want, you can press “Continue to Checkout” and our secure checkout and payment system will guide you through the payment process.

We accept credit card payments which are processed using a secure server. Please note we only sell and ship products within the UK.

We accept most major cards, but not American Express or Diners. In order to progress your order, payment is taken when the order is placed. Please never email us your credit card number as it is not safe to do so.

Yours statutory rights are not affected.

 

Delivery

We will aim to have your lights with you as soon as possible. We offer a wide range of fittings and cannot keep everything in stock at all times. Consequently, this means that, on occasions, your order may not be ready for immediate dispatch. If this happens we will contact you with an estimated delivery date and, should this not suit your timescale, we will be only too happy to issue a refund. Our delivery charges apply to UK mainland purchases and we reserve the right to make additional charges for overseas deliveries or for remote parts of the UK.

Please do not book your electrician until your goods have arrived. Goods can be delayed to us from our suppliers and we cannot accept responsibility for costs relating to the late delivery of products ordered from us.

Do please check your items thoroughly upon receipt as any breakages or missing items must be reported in writing within 48 hours. We will help to resolve any problems after this point, but reserve the right to pass on any associated costs.

 

VAT

All of the products on our website include VAT at the standard rate of 20%.

 

Returns

We comply with the Distance Selling Regulations and all goods can be returned if they do not meet your requirements. However, please bear in mind the following:

  • We must be informed of your intention to return goods within 14 calendar days of receipt by email info@amoslighting.co.uk and not by telephone.
  • Returned goods must be received by us within 14 calendar days of your return notification. We may not accept goods returned outside of these times or, in certain circumstances, we might issue a credit note.
  • Goods must be returned in their original packaging and in perfect condition, unused. Once lighting and/or furniture has been fitted/assembled, it cannot be returned.
  • The customer is responsible for selecting a suitable means of returning the goods to us and must take responsibility for their safe return, taking out insurance if required. Postage to the customer and the return postage will not be refunded and we reserve the right to issue a credit-note and/or apply re-stock charges for special order items.
  • Faulty or damaged goods will be replaced or refunded and we will bear the return carriage of damaged or faulty goods. However, we will not be held liable for any related costs e.g electrician’s fees etc.
  • Clearance items purchased are ‘sold as seen’, we will not issue refunds on any clearance items.

Promotional Codes

  • Amos Lighting + Home Ltd reserves the right to cancel or terminate any promotional codes at any point in time. 
  • Promotional codes are not valid in conjunction with any Lighting Design quotes

Faulty Goods

We will replace or refund any goods that are found to be faulty or not fit for purpose and we will bear the return carriage costs of damaged or faulty goods. However, our liability is limited to the value of the faulty goods and we accept no responsibility for ANY costs associated with the supply of faulty goods. Our range of exterior lights are not suitable for coastal location unless expressly noted on the product page, lights used within a coastal location which are not listed as suitable will not be covered by our guarantee.


Guarantee

All of our products are covered by a minimum of a three year guarantee unless otherwise stated.

 

Our complaints procedure

We hope you will be pleased with our service. But, if we get it wrong, we will aim to do everything we can to put it right. If you have any problems, please feel free to contact us on 01392 877737.

We always try to respond to complaints as soon as possible and we will guarantee to respond to you within five working days and to keep you fully informed until we have resolved your complaint.

 

Sales + Discounts

Offers and Sales can not be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. Amos Lighting Ltd reserve the right to change or adapt the offer at any time. Technical Lighting is not included in any sale or discount. Ex-display items can not be returned and are sold as seen or described. Please contact the showroom directly if you’d like further information regarding any clearance item.
