Making a Purchase
We use a secure server on our website and want to make shopping easy for you. If anything is not clear from our website, then please email us firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01392 677030.
Our products are arranged in categories which can be accessed by clicking on the Lights tab at the top of the website. By selecting a category, you will then be able to look at individual products in detail. When you have found what you want, you can add it to your basket which you can edit or empty at any point. Once you have selected the products you want, you can press “Continue to Checkout” and our secure checkout and payment system will guide you through the payment process.
We accept credit card payments which are processed using a secure server. Please note that if you are shopping from outside the UK, your card company will convert our Sterling price into your local currency and the amount will appear on your next card statement.
We accept most major cards, but not American Express or Diners. In order to progress your order, payment is taken when the order is placed. Please never email us your credit card number as it is not safe to do so.
Yours statutory rights are not affected
We will aim to have your lights with you as soon as possible and, ideally, within 10 working days. We offer a wide range of fittings and cannot keep everything in stock at all times. Consequently, this means that, on occasions, your order may not be ready for immediate despatch. If this happens we will contact you with an estimated delivery date and, should this not suit your timescale, we will be only too happy to issue a refund. Our delivery charges apply to UK mainland purchases and we reserve the right to make additional charges for overseas deliveries or for remote parts of the UK.
Please do not book your electrician until your goods have arrived. Goods can be delayed to us from our suppliers and we cannot accept responsibility for costs relating to the late delivery of products ordered from us.
Do please check your items thoroughly upon receipt as any breakages or missing items must be reported in writing within 24 hours. We will help to resolve any problems after this point, but reserve the right to pass on any associated costs.
All of the products on our website include VAT at the standard rate of 20%.
We comply with the Distance Selling Regulations and all goods can be returned if they do not meet your requirements. However, please bear in mind the following:
We must be informed of your intention to return goods within 7 days of receipt by email email@example.com and not by telephone.
Returned goods must be received by us within 10 working days of receipt of the goods. We may not accept goods returned outside of these time limits or, in certain circumstances, we might issue a credit note.
Goods must be returned in their original packaging and in perfect condition, unused. Once lighting has been fitted, it cannot be returned.
The customer is responsible for selecting a suitable means of returning the goods to us and must take responsibility for their safe return, taking out insurance if required. Postage to the customer and the return postage will not be refunded and we reserve the right to issue a credit-note and/or apply re-stock charges for special order items.
We will replace or refund any goods that are found to be faulty or not fit for purpose and we will bear the return carriage costs of damaged or faulty goods. However, our liability is limited to the value of the faulty goods and we accept no responsibility for ANY costs associated with the supply of faulty goods.
All of our products are covered by a minimum of a one year guarantee.
We do not share your details with anyone else.
We collect information about you when you order and only disclose information to a third party for delivery purposes. We also collect information about you when you sign up to our mailing list in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. You are free to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time.
We do not store any other information, other than logging your IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser you used. This is automatically undertaken by our web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics which we analyse from time to time to evaluate use of our site. None of the information we store will identify you as an individual.
Our complaints procedure

We always try to respond to complaints as soon as possible and we will guarantee to respond to you within five working days and to keep you fully informed until we have resolved your complaint.
